- Celsius and Fahrenheit don't share a zero point (0°C is 32°F, not 0°F), so converting requires both scaling and shifting the value — unlike length or weight, where a unit is always a fixed multiple of another.
- What is 0 Kelvin?
- Absolute zero — the theoretical point where all thermal motion stops. It's −273.15°C or −459.67°F, and there's no such thing as a negative Kelvin temperature.
